2014 Costume and Sewing Round Up
Even though I always wanted make a costume and sewing round up post, I never made one before. I decided this year to change it! I also decided to do a round up post for my art and photography, but those are coming soon. This year I didn’t get the chance to wear many of the costumes I made. Usually what happened is whenever the event I was going to dress up for came, I got sick (Arizona Renaissance Festival) or I got hurt and didn’t feel like dressing up. (Phoenix Comicon) Fortunately, some of the costumes looked like regular clothes so I was able to wear pieces of them…

2014 Phoenix Comicon Sketches
It’s been over a week since the Phoenix Comicon ended and while I’ve been updating my other sites about my adventures there, I’ve neglected this site. This is mostly because I don’t know what exactly to say about my trip in a formal, nice blog post. In order to keep the Phoenix Comicon excitement alive, I decided to talk about the sketches I did while at the convention. Originally I was going to include these sketches in my Sketch Book Saturday series, but I gave up on that idea and made a special post for them alone. 🙂 Before I left for the convention, I wisely decided to bring a…

2014 Arizona Renaissance Festival
I realized I didn’t talk about attending this year’s Renaissance Festival! I can’t believe it! Especially since it’s usually the highlight of the first six months of my year and I make costumes for it months in advance! 😛 Every year since 2009 (I believe) I’ve gone to the Arizona Renaissance Festival. I really do enjoy it and have fun taking photos of everything I see. Especially the jousts! This year’s festival was different because for the first time ever, I bought myself a season pass allowing me to go almost every single day the festival was open. I ended up skipping many days due to illness and general life…

Spring Blossoms 2014 Part 2 of 2
Believe it or not, I did find the time to take photos of more blossoms around my house! I’m kind of shocked by this because I decided to ignore my sewing, drawing, other crafts, and my normal job to go for long walks in the desert. (I was actually procrastinating, but hey! I’ve got pretty photos out of it! XD) Unlike with my first post, I don’t know all the names of the plants I took photos of. I did take photos of a saguaro cactus that is blossoming a month early. I thought this was a problems for that particular cactus only, but after taking more walks I found…

Spring Blossoms 2014 Part 1 of 2 (Maybe)
Well, its spring and the trees around my house started/are blooming. Last year I took some photos of the blossoms on the peach trees near my house, but since then an orange tree that was planted years ago began to bloom for the first time! I’m excited because this means oranges (And orange juice) might show up in the future. Yum! Anyway, here are some photos of the peach blossoms, orange blossoms, ocotillo blossoms, and Creosote blossoms around my house. The only blossom photos that are missing are the cactus blossoms. They have yet to blossom, but some are starting to show signs they are getting ready to. Once they…
