2024 Sewing Projects in Review

Hi everyone! It’s the end of 2024, which makes me sad. I had so many great things planned for the year, but it seems like nothing turned out. Still, there was one surprise for me this year: I was able to sew in the final months of the year!

I was surprised I could sew so much in late 2024. I haven’t had the time to make anything I want to post on this blog for years, but near the end of the year everything changed! I’m really happy I was able to sew so much!

Since it is so close to the end of the year, I decided to write about some of the projects I worked on this year.

Quilts

I wanted to make quilts for years, but I never did. This year, I was able to start working on some of them! The quilts I finished sewing, but need to be backed, quilted, and binding sewn on are the Pink and Green Log Cabin Quilt…

The Blue and Yellow Log Cabin Quilt…

The Turquoise and Grey Log Cabin Quilt…

And a quilt using scraps from the Turquoise and Grey Log Cabin Quilt. I also worked on quilts that I’m not ready to post yet.

Pajama Shorts

I really needed new pajama bottoms, so I began to sew them. Even though I still need some long pants, I was able to finish two shorts before the year’s end. One is made out of Christmas themed flannel…

The other is made out of navy fabric and flower fabric as a contrast. I will be talking more about these shorts and the pattern I used to make them next year.

Vogue Pattern V2004

I made one version of Vogue Pattern’s V2004. It didn’t fit right in the bust, so I decided to make another version of it. I haven’t finished the second version, but I did finish the first.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
